I DID IT!!!!! 30 DAYS NO ADDED SUGAR!!!!
So not only did I go the 30 days I also lost 10 pounds!! The day after I did add teaspoon of maple syrup to my oatmeal because I was out of blueberries and super tired of bananas but that's it! Today is the second day after my 30 days and still no sugary treats. It is so weird, I really thought first thing the day after I would run out and get ice cream or something but nope!.
I still am not sure how to handle sugar going forward. I did buy no sugar added ketchup. It tastes fine and I will keep buying it. With the exception of two recipes (that I can think of) I can make all our lunches and dinners without added sugar. Breakfast is a little more tricky. I was going to make a summer fruit back this week but it calls for 1/4 brown sugar :-( Maybe I will try it without the sugar and see what happens. Desserts and treats are my issue. Do I do once a month? a week?
