"Fun" Fact: If you drink just one can of coke a day for a year you will have consumed 39 pounds of sugar!

Several years ago I decided to go 30 days without soda. I was seriously addicted to Pepsi. i figured after the 30 days I will still have Pepsi I was just hoping not as much as before. After the 30 days I had my first Pepsi and was surprised to find it was disgusting! I no longer crave it, and rarely have one . Usually if I do it's because I have a headache and need caffeine. 30 days was enough to kick my habit and because it was only for 30 days it felt doable and seeing "the light at the end of the tunnel" helped me to stay on track.

I am hoping that 30 days without added sugar will do the same for my sugar addiction, which is terrible. They say sugar is more addictive than cocaine, and I believe it. Last week I went on a massive sugar binge. I even bought poptarts! Something I have not had in years. I am afraid if I don't try to do something about this now I will have more binges like that.

My current health is not good. I am overweight (172). I have headaches. I am tired all the time, have no energy, and my muscles are weak. My asthma has also been pretty bad. I am hoping that after 30 days I will see some improvement in these areas and hopefully kick my addiction.
